Diving and snorkeling

Freediving, scuba diving and snorkelling are different ways to discover the underwater world. All, however, amazing and require some practice.

With scuba, you will have to go through a PADI or SSI open water or discover scuba diving course before you can dive with a buddy or an instructor. Both PADI and SSI offer great skill succession programs allowing you to learn more and go deeper. The maximum depth of recreational scuba diving is 40 meters.

Freediving is very different. It’s a skill to hold your breath. Freedivers have been known to the world for centuries, and some techniques were used by people for both fishing and pearl hunting. A beginners course takes three days, and you should be able to go to 18 meters and hold your breath for 3 minutes after you are done.

We write about both types of diving, as well as best locations and gear. We also provide tips on best dive sites around the world.
