Road Trips

Road trips, long or short are great, especially if your main goal is to go beyond the usual sightseeing. With driving a car you have great flexibility and you can decide if you want to spend a little more time in a specific location. Nowadays, renting a car is simple so you don’t have to take your own car or start from your home country.

In general road trips are slightly cheaper than flights or train trips. However, with road trips you will have to be very careful when you plan your route and itinerary in general. It best to make sure you can cancel your hotel 24h before the check-in date, in case you change your plans.

We suggest routes we have tried and write about places that are great to explore by car. Some of them are very well known like Route 66 and some are hidden gems you didn’t even think exist. All in all, if you love driving and exploring new places this section is for you.
